Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely inclusive and supportive infant school in St Helens as they are looking to appoint an experienced and qualified teaching assistant for a full-time temporary contract. This position will last until at least the Christmas period subject to funding and has an immediate start available.

As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting the nursery and reception class teachers, working across both classrooms and supporting with general classroom and behaviour management. You will work collaboratively with the teachers to promote the engagement, learning and development of all pupils by planning and delivering a variety of educational activities in line with pupils' key interests and the EYFS national curriculum. Both classes are extremely inclusive with a number of pupils with SEN so 1:1 support will also be required.

  • An NVQ Level 3 Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent qualification
