Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a two-form entry primary school in St Helens that is at the heart of its local community as they require an experienced and reliable teaching assistant to support pupils with SEN across the school on a timetabled basis. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a supportive school on a full-time temporary basis.

As a teaching assistant within this school you will work alongside the SENCO and play an integral role in the education of a select group of pupils with SEN. The pupils you will be supporting all have different needs including ASD, SEMH and cognitive behavioural requirements. As well as delivering tailored interventions you will implement an array of positive behaviour strategies, tailored to individual pupils’ responses and requirements.

  • Experience supporting SEN (ASD and SEMH is highly advantageous)
  • Be able to commit to a full-time temporary contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
  • An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
