Your new company Desian Education are proud to be working in collaboration with a highly regarded three-form entry primary school in Widnes that is at the heart of its local community as they require an experienced and reliable SEN teaching assistant to join their EYFS team on a full-time temporary basis from 13/04/2026.

In this school you will be joining a supportive and experienced EYFS cohort, working in collaboration with a reception class teacher and playing an integral part in the education and development of a young female pupil with SEN. You will be supporting a pupil with a dual diagnosis of ASD and non-verbal on a 1:1 basis. You will promote inclusive practices by tailoring learning material to best suit attainment and learning style.

You will also:

  • Support speech and language development via Makaton and PECs
  • Behaviour management: responses to sensory stimuli and movement breaks
  • Support with personal/intimate care

What you need to succeed:

  • Full “Right to Work” in the UK
  • Experience working with SEN. ASD and non-verbal is advantageous
  • A minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years
  • Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
