Your new company, Desian Education, are proud to be supporting a Runcorn-based single form entry primary school. This inclusive and supportive mainstream school require a teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time temporary basis to support pupils with ALN (additional learning needs) in Year 4.
You will lead on 1:1 and small group support for a group of pupils with ALN, including:
- Planning and delivering targeted interventions in core subjects
- Encouraging relevant lesson input
- Integrating your pupils into new pupil groups
- Accurately tracking and recording pupil progress including recognising key milestones
- Reporting into the deputy head on pupil progress and further requirements
- Supporting with general classroom and behaviour management
What you need to succeed:
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Expert knowledge of the KS2 national curriculums
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
- Be at least NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
