We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Knowsley. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful candidate must hold a recognised EYFS Teaching Assistant qualification to allow them to be included in staff-to-child ratios.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher across the EYFS setting
- Work with children individually and in small groups
- Contribute to daily planning and delivery of EYFS activities
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Assist with observations, assessments and learning journals
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute fully to EYFS ratios and daily routines
Requirements
- A recognised EYFS Teaching Assistant / Early Years qualification (essential to contribute to ratios)
- Previous EYFS or school-based experience required
- A caring, patient and proactive approach
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A DBS on the Update Service or relevant documents to apply for one
