Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely inclusive and well-established mainstream primary school in Winsford that is easily accessible via public transport. They are looking to appoint a motivated and experienced SEN teaching assistant for a full-time contract, starting after Easter and lasting the remainder of the academic year.

As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be joining an extremely supportive and experienced SEN cohort, working in collaboration with the class teacher/SENCO and teaching assistants to support the education, development and well-being of all pupils within a designated SEMH provision. You will take a pupil-centred approach to their education to ensure that the needs of each pupil are not only met but also at the heart of all operations.

  • Build strong constructive relationships with pupils
  • Be willing to undergo an enhanced children’s DBS check
  • Have relevant referenceable experience supporting children with behavioural/SEMH needs
  • Having an NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
