Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a single-form entry primary school in Winsford that is easily accessible via public transport as they require a qualified and motivated teaching assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. This exciting opportunity has become available due to additional funding being secured and the school are considering a permanent appointment for the new academic year if the pupil stays at the school.

As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining the year 3 class to play an integral part in the education of a pupil with an ASD diagnosis. You will support this pupil on a 1:1 basis, supporting them throughout the school day and liaising with their parents/guardians on their progress. The pupil you will be supporting is extremely high functioning and does have the ability to access the curriculum but due to them also being PDA they can at times present challenging behaviours and become disengaged. To prevent this and promote their engagement you will use a myriad of positive behaviour and pupil-led curriculum strategies.
