Your new company Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely inclusive and highly regarded nursery school in Warrington as they require a motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join their team due to additional funding being secured. This is a full-time temporary contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week and lasting until at least the end of the academic year.

You will be joining a dedicated and supportive EYFS team, working in collaboration with the class teacher to support the development of your new pupils. You will support a new pupil of the school on a 1:1 basis that is non-verbal and has an individual EHCP.

Your new role:

  • 1:1 speech and language support including PECS and Makaton
  • Learn through play to support fine motor skills and inclusion
  • Supporting fine motor skills development
  • Use learning journey to track pupil progress
  • Supporting during break and lunch time
  • Positive behaviour support

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Full “Right to Work” in the UK
  • Experience supporting SEN (non-verbal is advantageous)
  • An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
  • Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
  • Relevant referenceable classroom experience
