Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with an extremely inclusive and supportive mainstream primary school with easy transport links as they are looking to appoint a minimum of 2 reliable and motivated teaching assistants. This single-form entry primary school is at the heart of its local community with temporary to permanent appointments being considered for the right individuals.
Your new role
Within this school you will play an integral part in the education and emotional development of pupils with a KS1 SEMH designated provision. You will work in collaboration with the class teacher and other teaching assistants to promote the behaviours and emotional development of your pupils by taking a pupil-centred approach to support. You will:
- Implement positive behaviour strategies
- Deliver ESLA interventions
- Hold 1:1 and small group interventions
- Support during break and lunch-times
What you need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Be willing to undergo an enhanced children’s DBS check
- Have relevant referenceable experience supporting children with behavioural/SEMH needs
