Are you a compassionate Teaching Assistant or Nursery Practitioner looking to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey? A primary school in Wirral is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Reception pupil with an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan). You will be working full-time 8.30am-3.30pm within a supportive EYFS team, helping to create a positive and nurturing learning environment tailored to the needs of the individual pupil.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a Reception child with specific needs as outlined in their EHCP
- Assist with learning activities, emotional regulation, and social development
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Adapt resources and strategies to support individual learning
- Monitor progress and contribute to review meetings
Qualifications
- Experience supporting children in EYFS, ideally with SEND or EHCP knowledge
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning support
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
- An enhanced DBS or a willingness to obtain one via Desian Education
