You will be joining the Application Fraud Analytics team, who are responsible for the application fraud strategies across all products. This means that the team is responsible for preventing anyone who has had their identity stolen from becoming a victim of fraud, protecting both customers, non-customers and the bank itself.

You will be joining the application fraud analytics team where you will be carrying out several activities to keep the bank and our customers safe. This will include the optimisation and monitoring of our fraud detection tools so that we can manage fraud risk within appetite and budget. You will have to do this while balancing operational impact as well as any impact on genuine customer interventions. Furthermore, you will be asked to produce accurate and relevant fraud MI, on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, as well as providing analysis to support maintenance, development and investment in fraud defence systems. Lastly, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
The minimum requirements for this role are:
- Practical experience in a fraud or financial crime orientated role
- Knowledge of industry standard fraud systems and data sources (Hunter, TruValidate, Detect, CIFAS)
- Experience with analytical tools such as Excel to develop data driven solutions
- Practical experience producing and creating accurate MI
- Knowledge of fraud risks, threats, and landscape
