We’re looking for a driven individual to work as a Product Manager within the Current Account Team, focussed on our Overdraft product and reporting to the Senior Product Manager.

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for our Overdrafts throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring they continue to meet customer needs, support our commercial objectives and operates within our risk and control framework.

Working at the heart of the Overdrafts team, you’ll help deliver positive customer outcomes while maintaining a commercially sustainable proposition. You’ll be responsible for monitoring and improving end-to-end processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing changes where needed.

The role involves supporting the delivery of system changes alongside technical teams, assessing and managing any impact on customers, products and business processes. You’ll develop and manage product propositions, taking ideas from initial concept through to implementation and delivery.

You’ll build and maintain strong relationships across the Society, collaborating with stakeholders to reach consensus, influence decision-making and progress initiatives that support our members and our strategic goals. A key part of the role will be producing high-quality written proposals and recommendations that drive robust decision-making and increase understanding of important business issues.

Using product performance data, customer insight, market research and emerging industry trends, you’ll help shape product strategy and deliver key commercial objectives. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across Communications, Digital, Operations, Retail and Risk to investigate incidents, issues and complaints, ensuring effective solutions are implemented and customer outcomes remain at the forefront of everything we do.

About you

The minimum requirements for this role are:

Product management experience within the Financial Services or Insurance industry

Knowledge of current accounts or unsecured lending products such as credit cards or personal loans

Can demonstrate understanding of not only the customer but impacts on commercials, risk and operations

A collaborative leader who is analytical, creative, confident, a good communicator with the ability to lead people on an indirect basis

Possess strong influencing and collaboration skills, building relationships with stakeholders across the Society
