Acquisition Finance is our UK-wide Leverage Finance proposition supporting event-driven transactions for owner-managed and private-equity-backed businesses.
Responsibilities
- Drive growth by sourcing and delivering complex debt-led transactions across high-growth, innovation-driven technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) businesses.
- Build and maintain a strong network of private equity sponsors, corporates and debt advisors to identify new lending opportunities and lead the origination process from end to end through structuring, credit report writing, approval, negotiation and completion.
- Review information memorandums, screen opportunities, and work closely with the deal team to ensure transactions are well-structured and align with risk appetite.
- Lead deal processes from inception to completion, including preparation of credit papers, negotiation with stakeholders, analysis of financial statements and models, and oversight of legal documentation.
- Stay informed about TMT market trends and use insights to find and shape new lending avenues.
Qualifications
- Sector experience within TMT with an understanding of key value drivers, business models (SaaS, digital infrastructure, telecoms) and associated lending considerations.
- Proven experience originating and delivering acquisition finance and/or corporate transactions from sourcing through to completion.
- Excellent credit and financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and produce high-quality lending proposals.
- Track record of managing complex deal processes, including negotiations, due diligence and legal documentation.
- Established network of external contacts (private equity, debt advisors, corporate finance) to extract new business opportunities.
- Deep knowledge of UK financial markets and corporate finance structures, with up-to-date understanding of lending and risk considerations.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, engaging senior stakeholders and delivering outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, delivering to tight deadlines while maintaining quality and compliance with risk standards.
