As a Senior Analyst within Banking & Savings, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact in a business that looks after nearly £1 in every £8 saved in the UK. Working across millions of savings and current accounts, you’ll use complex, high volume data to uncover meaningful insights, helping to shape pricing strategies, monitor performance and support future planning. By identifying trends in customer and market behaviour, you’ll turn data into clear, compelling recommendations that shape pricing strategy, influence senior decision-making and help drive the long-term success of Banking & Savings.

We’re looking for a naturally curious and proactive analyst who enjoys solving problems, exploring data and uncovering the story behind the numbers. You'll be comfortable challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities and risks, and using insight to support strategic discussions and decision making. You’ll also be confident working with large datasets, developing and maintaining reporting and analytical tools, and delivering both regular MI (management information) and ad-hoc analysis, including supporting pricing integration activities. Strong numerical and technical skills, combined with the ability to simplify complex information and build effective relationships with stakeholders, will be key to your success.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team that is passionate about understanding market dynamics and delivering great outcomes for our members. In return, you’ll have the chance to work alongside knowledgeable colleagues, contribute to the financial performance of our products and play an important role in helping Nationwide build a resilient future through insightful analysis and informed decision-making. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible.

The extras you’ll get include:

  • Private medical insurance
  • A highly competitive pension to help you build a strong foundation for retirement
  • Access to an annual performance-related bonus
  • Training and development to help you progress your career
  • A great selection of additional benefits through our salary sacrifice scheme
  • Life assurance to provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones in the event of your death
  • Wellhub – access to a range of free and paid options for health and wellness
  • Up to 2 days of paid volunteering a year

You’ll use a combination of internal and external data sources to build a comprehensive understanding of Savings performance, turning complex information into clear, actionable insight and recommendations that inform key business decisions. Using your strong analytical, numerical and commercial skills, you’ll identify trends, interpret market dynamics and confidently communicate your findings to a wide range of stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions with confidence.

You'll work closely with a range of stakeholders across Banking & Savings, using data and insight to influence decisions, challenge thinking where appropriate and support the development of strategic initiatives. Playing a key role in shaping pricing strategies and operational forecasts, you’ll lead the development of pricing proposals and deliver analysis that supports the ongoing performance, profitability and sustainability of one of Nationwide’s most important businesses. This is an opportunity to influence decision‑making at a strategic level while making a meaningful contribution to the future success of Banking & Savings.

We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, analytical and driven by using data to solve problems and influence decision making. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy taking ownership of your work and be confident translating complex information into clear, meaningful insight for a range of stakeholders. As a minimum, you'll need to be:

  • A self‑motivated, numerate and logical thinker, capable of gathering, analysing and interpreting data to build a clear picture of performance and communicate findings effectively
  • Solid stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence discussions, present findings and build credibility with senior colleagues
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining analytical and reporting tools, with strong technical aptitude and PC skills
  • Skilled at interpreting, manipulating and simplifying large, complex datasets, turning them into clear and actionable insight for senior stakeholders
  • Confident leading and coordinating analytical projects from initial brief through to final recommendations and delivery
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast‑moving market environment, with a strong awareness of changing trends and market dynamics
  • Able to move beyond the numbers to identify business implications, opportunities and risks, providing clear recommendations that support strategic decision‑making
