This is an exciting opportunity to join our Group Customer and Communications community as Marketing Manager for Website. You’ll work across both Nationwide and The Mortgage Works within the Intermediary and Landlord Brands and Marketing team, a group of 18 colleagues responsible for defining, creating and delivering integrated marketing activity.

You’ll be responsible for the planning, development and ongoing evolution of our intermediary websites, Nationwide for Intermediaries and The Mortgage Works, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of our audiences and support wider business priorities. Within the Intermediary and Landlord Website Team, our ambition is to create valuable, expert led engagement across every paid, owned and earned touchpoint with our intermediary and landlord audiences. The website plays a central role in this, acting as a key channel in how our brands are experienced. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity.

At Nationwide, we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK-wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected. For this role you’ll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you’ll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Bournemouth or Swindon office. If you are aligned to our Glasgow hub (as this is your nearest location), there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. This is anticipated to be weekly in Glasgow.

If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here. If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll take ownership of our website plans, shaping and driving continuous improvement in how our digital experience performs for intermediary audiences.
  • This will include ensuring website changes are managed efficiently, balancing ongoing enhancements with the prioritisation of business critical updates so that our digital presence continues to evolve in line with business and customer needs.
  • You’ll lead the delivery of website activity that strengthens our brands and supports specific performance goals, including SEO outcomes.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider marketing team, you’ll ensure website activity is fully connected with other channels, helping to create a consistent and joined up experience for our audiences.
  • Your work will play a key role in how intermediary audiences and corporate partners experience our brands, contributing to measures such as unprompted willingness to recommend.
  • You’ll take an insight led approach, focusing on the activity that adds the greatest value and supports stronger, more meaningful engagement with our audiences.
  • Alongside this, you’ll be comfortable working in the detail while also thinking strategically, guiding the team to take an integrated approach across activity.
  • You’ll build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, confidently making decisions on priorities and clearly articulating these to senior colleagues.

About you

  • Experienced marketing professional. You’ve successfully managed websites and teams of people to deliver activities across teams to enable successful campaigns, customer journey enhancements and day‑to‑day change.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering website strategies that exceed KPIs and drive measurable performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, plan and prioritise website activity to maximise impact.
  • Confidence in setting direction and shaping high volumes of activity at pace and often within tight timescales.
  • Strong knowledge of website best practices, including SEO and performance optimisation.
  • Experience leading and developing teams responsible for websites.
  • Track record of using performance data, insights and reporting to inform decisions and present outcomes to senior stakeholders.
  • Broad understanding of mortgage intermediaries and their approach to advice, with knowledge of financial services and housing market or a comparable sector.
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders across a large organisation and cross‑function to ensure activity is championed and executed beyond your immediate remit e.g. product teams, intermediary relationships, other website leads.

  • A highly competitive pension to help you build a strong foundation for retirement
  • Access to an annual performance‑related bonus
  • Training and development to help you progress your career
  • A great selection of additional benefits through our salary sacrifice scheme
