At Nationwide, a Customer Representative role supports our customers across all channels, from transactions at the till to handling inbound calls and assisting with product applications through digital sales. Providing first‑class service in person, via phone and online – you will be trained for all aspects.

It is an important role within the branch, acting as the gateway to protecting and looking after our members and working closely with a team. Some branches in this area are closed to the public on certain days as you will be helping members on the phone.

If this role is advertised as part‑time the salary will be pro‑rata.

You need to be within a 45‑minute commute of the branch you are applying to work in, and the good news is that Nationwide’s commitment to the High Street means we now have the UK’s largest network, with over 600 branches.

Your training will be based virtually in‑branch. The training pathway is designed to ensure you are successful in your role – the first three weeks are especially important, and no holiday is taken during that period.

What you’ll be doing

Work on the counter completing transactions and educating customers on our digital services and easier ways to bank with us. Your role may include dealing with customer queries through various channels, including online and via the phone. You will build up your knowledge day in day out to ensure we can answer all customer queries – they are the most important part of our day.
