As a Senior Product Manager, Simplification you’ll play a leading role in the tailoring of existing propositions across the Virgin Money estate, readying our core customer base for a simple and seamless migration to Nationwide. You’ll have the opportunity to work across Transactional Banking, Savings and Lending, refining propositions for customers ranging from Sole Traders to Large Corporates.

The Senior Product Manager(s) will play a pivotal role in the successful transition of Virgin Money customers to the Nationwide brand. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to play a part in the creation of a scaled full-service mutual business bank that can compete with digital challengers on speed and simplicity, while outperforming traditional banks on trust, fairness, relationship depth and breadth of capability.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Simplification, the role holder will play a leading part in the delivery of a simplification roadmap, encompassing proposition refinement, customer engagement and change delivery. The role holder will ultimately support the enablement and readiness of both existing Virgin Money and Nationwide business customers, for their simple and seamless transition to the newly built Business Bank.

You will have the opportunity to support the shaping of product and proposition change, complex sequencing of communications across the whole Business Bank product suite and the ultimate migration of over 300k customers holding products from simple savings accounts through to having complex multi-product arrangements.

We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time, you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Glasgow, Edinburgh, Northampton or London offices. If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.

Virgin Money is now part of Nationwide. Nationwide acquired Virgin Money in October 2024. Virgin Money continues to serve customers on the high street, and there will be a phased and considered integration over the coming years. You’ll be employed by Nationwide from day one, delivering real impact and benefitting from a highly competitive range of benefits. We’re a workplace where you’re rewarded, recognised and celebrated.
