As a Senior Business Analyst within Business & Corporate Banking Payments, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering payment solutions that support our customers, colleagues and strategic goals. Working across complex payment initiatives, you'll analyse customer journeys, define business requirements and help design future operating models that improve services and drive positive outcomes. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology and operations to deliver change across domestic and international payment services, including Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT and SEPA.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payments specialist to influence large-scale transformation, solve complex business challenges and help shape the future of business banking payments.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Gosforth office. What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll lead the analysis and design of complex payment solutions across Business and Corporate Banking. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, map customer journeys and define clear, traceable requirements that support strategic objectives and regulatory obligations.

You'll identify opportunities to improve processes, operating models and payment capabilities while balancing customer experience, risk, resilience and cost considerations. Working across business and technology teams, you'll help shape and deliver payment change initiatives from initial concept through to implementation and successful adoption.

About you

As a minimum requirement, you’ll have:

  • Significant experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst or Solution Analyst within Business Banking, Corporate Banking Payments, Cash Management or Treasury Services in a regulated financial services environment
  • Knowledge of Business Banking and/or Corporate Banking payment products, services and end-to-end customer journeys
  • Practical knowledge of UK and international payment schemes, including Faster Payments, BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT and SEPA
  • Experience delivering complex payment change, transformation or modernisation initiatives involving business, operational and technology stakeholders
  • Proven ability to translate complex business and payment requirements into clear requirements, process models, target states and solution recommendations
  • Analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience managing requirements through the delivery lifecycle, including elicitation, validation, prioritisation, traceability and change control
