We have identified an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced and member-focused team. Delivering great customer service is crucial to Nationwide, and you’ll be part of a team charged with providing this.

As a Senior Advisor, you will be assisting the Operations Team Manager in motivating team members through daily mentoring, training, and buzz sessions. You will be responsible for promoting teamwork within your own team across the wider area. You will help to train, coach, and develop people on how to do their role, considering risks, ensuring the required standards for quality monitoring are met, and supporting team members through comprehensive Route to Competency.

Our objective is to deliver a great customer experience, and you’ll be part of the leadership team charged with providing this. It is a challenging environment, where things can move fast, but it is also an exciting and rewarding role. We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best. This is a 12-month secondment opportunity.

What you’ll be doing:

As Senior Advisor you will support the Team by deputising for the Team Manager during any absence, as well as act as the main referral point for other members of the team by being a subject matter expert in all processes within the team’s responsibilities. You will carry out processes of a similar nature to those of individuals in your team and will be required to contribute to projects across the business area to improve efficiencies and process whilst providing coaching and support to colleagues.

About you:

The minimum requirements for the role are:

  • Full knowledge of all processes administered within Home New Business Operations
  • Ability to identify issues and conduct root cause analysis, providing coaching and feedback where required
  • Ability to self-motivate and thrive under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and service standards
  • A good understanding of our policies and processes, whilst demonstrating subject matter expertise relating to the work of members of the team
  • Confidence in building relationships with internal and external customers and providing appropriate updates on progress through excellent communication skills to deliver great levels of service (both verbally and in writing)
  • Ability to prioritise workloads against SLAs while prioritising workloads and time management
