Customer Relationships Manager (CRM) is an exciting, multi-skilled and customer focused role. You will develop rewarding relationships by supporting customers to access our products and services via face‑to‑face in branch or via phone/video call.
Duration and location: 12‑month secondment, full time, 35 hrs per week Monday to Saturday, based at our Bexleyheath branch in Greater London.
If this role is advertised as part time the salary will be pro rata. Nationwide is committed to redeployment; redeployment candidates will be prioritised. From 1 July 2026, the minimum salary for this role will be £27,500.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting customers via phone, video, or face‑to‑face.
- Using our range of products and services you will identify needs, answer enquiries, and refer to specialist advisers when necessary.
- You will be an SME in your branch, supporting colleagues with quality customer conversations, and providing extra help to vulnerable customers.
- You will develop skills across our non‑advised product range, communicate effectively, and discover options for customers, delivering accurate information in a customer‑friendly manner in a fast‑paced, challenging environment.
About you
- Relevant experience in addressing customers’ needs through principle‑based sales processes.
- Customer service skills in face‑to‑face, telephony or digital channels.
- Experience in a financial services or retail customer‑facing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain decisions confidently.
- Computer skills and ability to use digital tools and multiple Office/database applications.
- Motivation, organisation, good time‑management and attention to detail.
- Empathy, compassion, and ability to build good relationships with customers and stakeholders.
