We are currently representing a client who has a design manager's position available. The candidate ideally should have general engineering design experience, with a special interest in design engineers who have experience in machinery design, heavy engineering, or capital equipment.

The candidate will have good general mechanical engineering knowledge and ideally will be able to use either SolidWorks or Inventor, but we will consider candidates who have experience using other packages. Knowledge of stress analysis would be very beneficial for this role via hand calculations, Ansys, SolidWorks simulation, etc.

Attention to detail is required along with the capability to produce good detail drawings and well-constructed assembly models. There is also a requirement for producing supporting relevant design documents.

Candidates are required to work on their own or as part of a team. He or she should have good communication skills, and specified deadlines should be communicated with clients and adhered to.

There should be a willingness for continuous improvement to ensure that the company provides the highest level of design and service to our clients. Candidates should have the ability to present designs to clients and interpret the customers' requirements. A policy of continuous improvement is promoted within the company and would be expected in your approach to work.
