Space for work at the speed of modern business. Trusted by real estate teams at some of the world’s largest businesses. Our mission is to bring speed and intelligence to the real estate industry to meet the needs of businesses in the age of AI. We’ve already built a single platform for global companies to give their people on-demand access to workspace in over 90 countries, but you’ll be joining at a really exciting time: we’re launching a new era of Desana that will accelerate flexible workspace transactions for global businesses, and the real estate brokers that serve them.
We’ve just officially announced:
- Our Agentic Broker Platform: Automating the heavy lifting for brokers to source and manage global flexible space.
- Our Portfolio Platform: A central place for global enterprises to procure and manage longer-term commitments at scale.
- Our Fast Track MSA: One single MSA to access the global market. No more lengthy legal cycles for a short-term lease.
This means that global employers, and their brokers, can implement real estate transactions 20× faster while continuously being informed by usage data, so that they can assess whether their workspace strategies meet the needs of their business, people, and the planet.
Location and Hours
Based in the UK, with preference for Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is a part-time role working the equivalent of 3 days per week. Days and structure negotiable. You will be working predominantly between the hours of 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (GMT).
Your Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end contracts process for enterprise deals, reviewing, redlining, and negotiating MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, SLAs and ad-hoc contracts.
- Legal Triage & External Counsel Management: Act as the primary interface with external legal. Handle the majority of negotiations in-house, escalating only complex or non-standard risk areas.
- Contracts Playbook & Risk Framework: Build and maintain a structured legal playbook, including fallback positions, approved clauses, and clear escalation thresholds. Standardise how we approach risk across all deals.
- Support and manage contracts with workspace operators and partners, ensuring alignment between upstream (supplier) and downstream (client) obligations.
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM): Audit and structure our existing contracts estate. Implement and own a CLM system (e.g. Ironclad or Wordsmith), including contract data, workflows, and reporting.
- Cross-Functional Alignment (Security & Product): Work closely with Compliance and Product to ensure contractual commitments (DPAs, security exhibits) align with our compliance posture (ISO 27001 / 27701, Drata).
- Procurement & Security Processes: Support enterprise procurement workflows, including security questionnaires and data protection requirements, helping streamline and standardise responses.
- Post-Signature Ownership: Ensure key contractual obligations are tracked and visible (e.g. SLAs, renewal terms, notice periods, commercial commitments).
- Partner with Sales to improve contract readiness, reducing friction and increasing deal velocity through better upfront positioning and use of standard terms.
About You
- Strong hands-on experience reviewing and negotiating B2B SaaS, marketplace, or enterprise software contracts.
- Commercially Driven: You understand the balance between risk and revenue. You enable deals - you don’t slow them down unnecessarily.
- Structured Thinker: You’re comfortable creating and owning frameworks, playbooks, and scalable processes - not just reviewing documents.
- Tech & Systems Oriented: You have experience implementing or working with CLM tools and are comfortable building operational infrastructure.
- Autonomous & Growth-Oriented: You’re excited to take ownership of a function, learn quickly, and grow into leading contracts and commercial risk for a global business.
Compensation
Your pro-rata salary for this role will be between £55,000 and £70,000 depending on experience and location.
