Technical Designer — Bespoke Kitchens & Joinery
Our client, a high end bespoke kitchens and joinery manufacturer, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Designer to support the delivery of bespoke kitchen and joinery projects. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on joinery or cabinet‑making experience, a strong technical mindset, and the ability to transform design concepts into accurate technical drawings.
The successful candidate will join the Operations team at the Notting Hill studio, working closely with the Design Manager, Project Managers, and Design Coordinators. They will produce precise production, manufacturing, and installation drawings, upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship and technical quality. The position requires an excellent eye for detail and a practical understanding of how joinery is constructed and installed. It is for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life, being actively involved at every stage of a project, and wants to grow within high‑end bespoke joinery, collaborating with experienced designers and external partners to deepen technical expertise across the full project lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience and understanding of modern furniture construction techniques, with a background in bespoke cabinet making or joinery
- Exceptional attention to detail and a natural inclination to consider how I would build this
- Strong understanding of material properties
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the success of colleagues
