Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Installation Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of our client’s condition monitoring systems at customer sites. You will work closely with clients to ensure their systems are set up correctly and functioning optimally, contributing to their operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Install and configure our clients condition monitoring systems, including vibration sensors, data collectors, and software solutions at customer locations.
Testing & Calibration: Conduct testing and calibration of installed systems to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Training: Provide training and support to clients on how to use the installed systems effectively, including software and data interpretation.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to system installations, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of installations, configurations, and any technical support provided. Ensure all documentation is up to date.
Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to support the development of solutions tailored to customer needs.
Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support throughout the installation process.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations during installations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
Education: Ideally time served apprentice in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in installation, maintenance, or engineering roles, preferably in industrial settings. Familiarity with condition monitoring technologies is a plus.
Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to work.
Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites as required, including overnight stays.
