Our client is a well-established family-based business in Horncastle, supplying a broad range of products to the agricultural sector in the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire area. The business is looking to strengthen its sales team by employing an animal health sales specialist.

We are looking for a passionate and driven sales person to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. This role will mainly work from our Horncastle base and focus on promoting our animal health, equipment and related offerings. A key part of the role will be providing advice and support to customers with a focus on nutrition and promoting the responsible use of prescription only medicines.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in animal health and a proven track record of sales or customer engagement ideally in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Capitalize on sales leads, build strong relationships with customers, ultimately building and growing your own customer base
  • Build knowledge of product range enabling you to provide expert advice and technical support to customers
  • Promote the responsible use of prescriptive only medicines
  • Monitor stock levels and forecasting for seasonal stock and become involved in related activities including placing and processing orders
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to help spot new opportunities
  • Some cover required for shop/warehouse duties as appropriate. Saturday Rota will apply - giving cover 08:00 to 12:00.

  • Proven commercial experience in agriculture or relevant sector
  • Customer facing service experience
  • Some understanding of the UK farming industry
  • Sound communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • A results driven mindset with the ability to nurture and grow new business
