About the Role
An established and growing waste and recycling operation is looking for an experienced Class 2 Roll On Roll Off (RORO) Driver to join their professional driving team based in Ilkeston. You will be responsible for transporting waste and recyclable materials between customer sites and processing facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations at all times. This is a physically active and customer-facing role suited to experienced RORO / Skip / Hook Loader / Waste / Recycling drivers seeking stable, long-term employment with overtime opportunities.
Main Duties
- Driving Class 2 RORO vehicles (Roll On Roll Off / Hook Loader)
- Transporting materials between customer locations and processing sites
- Carrying out daily vehicle and safety checks
- Reporting defects and ensuring vehicle safety
- Communicating with transport planners and following daily route schedules
- Maintaining good customer relationships on site
- Completing daily paperwork and compliance checks
- Operating in line with company safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience driving RORO / Hook Loader / Waste / Recycling vehicles preferred
- Good geographical knowledge
- Safety-conscious and reliable
