Derventio is at the forefront of housing and support services. As part of the Growing Lives team, you will make a real difference to people’s lives. This role is to lead and supervise teams of participants and ensure individual and activity risk assessments are considered, and healthy and safe work practices are adhered to at all times.

You will be required to work on the Growing Lives project which aims to Support, Participate, Assets, Resilience, Knowledge (SPARK) disadvantaged people into taking control of their lives and become positive and active members of their communities. An ability to work on your own initiative as well as working well as part of a team is essential.

This role includes providing a range of activities and workshop sessions to an agreed timetable including: horticulture, furniture up-cycling, arts & crafts, creative writing, relaxation and wellbeing, cooking and healthy eating, are just to name a few!

The successful applicant will need to be prepared to use Company vehicles to assist in transport of participants to and from pick up locations. This is a rewarding and challenging job that will require you to be calm, professional and flexible. Flexible hours from part-time to full-time (24-40 hours per week). We consider all applicants on their merit and not on their past. Remuneration packages commensurate with level of skills and experience. You must be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check. A valid driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes is essential. Mileage paid for journeys on work business.

28 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing to 33 at one years’ service, and additional service increments. 8% contributory pension (EMPLOYER). Death in service and critical illness cover after qualifying period.
