The Role Lean Manufacturing Engineer

You Will

  • Identify and eliminate waste within production processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and improve efficiency across UK sites.
  • Enhance operational performance through the application of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Apply practical lean tools including 5S, 7 Wastes, Kaizen, Time & Motion studies, Root Cause Analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).
  • Engage with operations teams to implement improvements on the shop floor.
  • Work independently, using initiative and strong analytical skills to deliver measurable improvements.

Essential Criteria

  • Graduate Engineer with at least 2+ years experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean principles and methodologies.
  • Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.
  • Proven experience applying lean tools and techniques in a practical setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently.
  • Flexibility to travel across multiple UK manufacturing sites.

Location

Based near Middlewich, Cheshire or Grantham, Nottinghamshirewith travel required to other UK sites.
