DERTOUR UK are looking for a confident Business Analyst to join our growing Project team on a 12 month FTC.
DERTOUR UK includes the much-celebrated travel brands Kuoni, Carrier, CV Villas, Kirker, Jules Verne, Journeys Latin America and Solmar. This is great opportunity to work with all of these incredible brands.
This hybrid role is primarily based at our Dorking Head Office (minimum of 3 days in the office required per week), however visits to our other offices may be required occasionally.

The Role
The Business Analyst requires a flexible individual with the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and present this information to both a technical and non-technical audience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, alongside strong analysis and negotiating skills. Any experience of managing projects will be an advantage.
The role holder will be good at building relationships and networks, acting as a liaison point between external development providers, central functions and specific internal teams.
The role of the analyst is to understand the needs of the businesses within the DT Group and translate these into appropriate requirements documents and process flows. This often involves evaluating multiple solution options, e.g. the types of solution offered by different technical suppliers, and advising on the pros & cons of each. It is an iterative process, the analyst must negotiate between business and technical teams to understand the concerns of both and reach the best outcome which best fit the requirements, cost, time to deliver and technical feasibility.
Good knowledge of how the travel industry and how tour operators work is essential, from commercial, operational and technical points of view. Key business areas of focus for this role include Air, connectivity, operations, sales and Finance processes.

- Identify, analyse and prioritise business requirements in a structured and meaningful way
- Understand and describe business processes and facilitate suggestions for altered/new processes
- Critically evaluate information gathered and develop new insights into them and translate high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Understand and document implications of business requirements and issues (qualifying financial impacts of various scenarios) and develop insightful recommendations
- Drive and challenge business users on their input and assumptions for business processes, needs and requirements
- Identifying requirements for change and assessing the impact of changes
- Pro-active identification of training and development requirements and delivery of training to end-users when implementing a new solution or to support changes in existing systems
- Be a driver of sound and effective project governance across all workstreams.

- Actively collaborate with other departments to ensure supplier relationships are well managed and consistent.
