The Parish Catechist will collaborate with the parish clergy, schools, and the parish pastoral council to develop, coordinate, and support catechetical and sacramental programmes. The role is dedicated to nurturing and deepening the faith of parishioners by fostering spiritual growth within the parish community. Utilising diocesan and local resources, the catechist will implement initiatives to inspire faith in those seeking belief and reignite faith in those who have lapsed in practice. Additionally, the Catechist will establish and develop chaplaincy initiatives at the Derry Campus of the University of Ulster.
