Responsible for the delivery of a customer focused and diverse range of day to day operational duties in all weather conditions, carried out in accordance with Health and Safety obligations and standard operating procedures to provide Streetscape Services in all areas within the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake grounds maintenance and grave digging duties, in a professional manner using creativity and expertise where required to specified standards in accordance with planned operational procedures.
- Drive, operate and maintain allocated vehicles, heavy plant and ancillary equipment including the loading/unloading of same in consideration of prevailing weather conditions and in accordance with competent person’s standard operating procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Applicants must possess a minimum of a valid and current B Licence.
- This experience must include all of the following:
- Operating motorised grass cutting machinery or tractor with ancillary attachments, equipment.
- Shrub and or tree maintenance.
- Record keeping.
- Knowledge and application of Health and Safety at Work.
- A minimum of 1 years relevant experience in a commercial, agricultural or public sector operational service.
- It is desirable that applicants possess one of the following:
- A valid and current C1 plus E and or C Licence.
- Certification of competence in the safe use of Pesticides Application, Modules PA1 and PA6A and PA2A.
