Responsible for the efficient operation and cleanliness of the Bowling Green Facility and to provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and control members of the public using the Bowling Green facilities.
- Supervision of greens to include the selection and preparation of areas of play and to cancel or suspend play when greens are considered unfit due to weather conditions.
- Responsible for the handling of cash payments, issue of payment receipts, collection of tickets and the checking of annual green fee membership.
- Supervision of changing rooms and other areas of the Bowling Green Pavilion, identifying potential hazards and taking appropriate action in line with Normal Operating Procedures (NOP) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Bowling Green Pavilion and surrounding areas, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times following Health and Safety Procedures and adhering to COSHH.
- Set up and dismantle equipment for meetings and functions ensuring safe practices are maintained in accordance with Derry City Council’s Policies and Procedures including those outlined in risk assessments.
- Supervise and control members of the car park.
- Responsible for the opening and closing of the Bowling Green Pavilion.
- Contribute to staff induction and training programmes within the Leisure Services in accordance with Council’s Policy and Procedures.
- Participate in and ensure compliance with all Council policies and procedures and operate within the highest standards of personal behaviour which reflect the core values of the organisation.
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety requirements and legislation in accordance with Council’s Policies and Procedures.
- Comply with and actively promote the Council’s policies and procedures on all aspects of equality.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to scale, which may be required from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications
- Recognised First Aid Qualification (in date).
- 1 year’s demonstrable experience in dealing with the public.
- 1 year’s demonstrable experience in general cleaning.
- 1 year’s demonstrable experience in general security.
