Job Description
As a Dermalogica Educator, you are an authentic representative, delivering branded education across diverse settings and to varied audiences. You embody the brand\’s principles, using education to enhance the skills of undergraduate and postgraduate skin therapists or aesthetic practitioners, support financial growth for partner businesses and create brand loyal customers. Your contributions support the success of Dermalogica.
Responsibilities
- Shares branded education one-on-one, to live audiences or via digital platforms, at Training Centres, offsite locations or remotely.
- Understands what success looks like for every audience and shapes education delivery to support achieving those goals. Delivers educational content that directly addresses the skills and knowledge required to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
- Supports undergraduate and postgraduate professional skin therapist skill development; partner businesses attending education should show increases in Dermalogica purchases and adoption of Dermalogica branded services; consumer education should drive brand loyalty, product purchases and service bookings.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all products, treatments and concepts offered by Dermalogica and proactively develops skills to maintain high-quality educational delivery across audiences and environments.
- Maintains high standards of skin therapy skills with ability to deliver advanced services in various environments including retail spaces and Dermalogica-owned or partner businesses.
- Implements company and department strategies, updates to education or new promotions in daily work to contribute to business goals.
- Represents the brand at all times and adheres to safety, hygiene, uniform and attire guidelines.
- Maintains impeccable timekeeping, attendance reliability and ability to prioritise individual schedules.
- Engages with various audiences to build positive relationships and provide outstanding customer service, resolving complaints with professional outcomes.
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience
- Level 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy (including electrical modalities) or equivalent qualification.
- At least one year’s experience within a skin centre with hands-on treatment experience.
- Dermalogica experience and knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience or qualifications in advanced services is an advantage.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- PC literate in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
- Driver’s License
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The role requires standing, walking, using hands to handle objects, talking and hearing. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance and color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel by car, plane and public transport may be required. Occasional training at other locations may require staying away from home for up to four nights, with travel time allocated.
