What you’ll be doing:

  • Greeting customers with a friendly smile and making them feel welcome
  • Helping people find what they’re looking for and answering any questions
  • Keeping the shop tidy, organised and inviting
  • Serving customers on the till and handling cash/card payments
  • Encouraging Gift Aid when donations are dropped off
  • Supporting your team and helping create a fun, friendly atmosphere

Please note: The minimum age for volunteering in our shops is 16. You must be living in the UK to volunteer in one of our shops. We ask all applicants to disclose, in confidence, any unspent convictions in advance of a DBS check, should they be successful at interview. All volunteers are required to wear a Derian uniform, which will be provided free of charge. This is an unpaid volunteer position in a charity shop.
