Join our amazing retail team in our brand new Bamber Bridge charity shop and help turn generous donations into vital funds for your local children’s hospice. Volunteering with Derian House is flexible, inclusive and rewarding. If you can spare a few hours each week, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Sorting through donated treasures such as clothes, books, toys and homeware.
- Checking items for quality and setting aside anything that’s not quite shop‑ready.
- Preparing items for sale by steaming clothes, cleaning, labelling and pricing.
- Keeping the sorting area clean, tidy and safe.
- Working alongside our friendly team of staff and volunteers.

Available sessions: Monday to Saturday – morning and afternoon (flexible hours). Please note: Minimum age for volunteering in our shops is 16. You must be living in the UK to volunteer in one of our shops. We ask all applicants to disclose, in confidence, any unspent criminal convictions in advance of a DBS check. All volunteers are required to wear a uniform, which will be provided free of charge. This is an unpaid volunteer position in a charity shop.
