We are looking for a friendly, organised and reliable volunteer to support our busy Volunteer Services Co‑ordinator each Monday for a few hours. This role plays an important part in helping us recognise, support and stay connected with our amazing volunteers across our hospice, retail and event settings.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting with volunteer long service awards and celebration tracking
- Helping to celebrate volunteer birthdays
- Assisting with corporate volunteer days (preparation, scheduling support and follow up thank you’s)
- Managing uniform requests, maintaining records and stocks
- Updating and ensuring our volunteer noticeboards across the shops and the hospice are up to date
- Supporting compliance checks, including DBS updates and mandatory training reminders
- General administrative support to the Volunteer Services Coordinator as needed
What we’re looking for:
- Good IT skills, including confidence using email, spreadsheets and online systems
- Organised and detail focused, with the ability to manage multiple small tasks
- Confident communicator, happy to follow up politely with volunteers and colleagues
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- A positive, proactive approach and willingness to get stuck in
- Canva experience is desirable, but not essential
- Able to provide a regular weekly commitment
Time Commitment: A few hours every Monday, between the hours of 8am to 4pm.
Please note: The minimum age for volunteering in this role is 18 years. We ask all applicants to disclose, in confidence, any unspent criminal convictions in advance of a DBS check. All volunteers are required to wear a uniform, which will be provided free of charge.
