Every year, hundreds of our supporters take on amazing challenges - from skydives and our colourful paint-filled Colour Run to enjoying our open gardens - all to raise vital funds for Derian House Children's Hospice. Whether it's helping with car park marshaling, serving refreshments, or collecting donations, event volunteers play a crucial role in bringing our events to life. What’s Involved
You might be meeting and greeting participants, helping set up and clear down, supporting stewarding tasks such as car parking or giving directions, handing out refreshments, or selling raffle tickets and merchandise. Every event is different, and every role is vital.

Please note:
The minimum age for event volunteers is 16 years. We provide essential kit such as hi-vis jackets and fundraising T-shirts, but you’ll need to dress appropriately for the conditions and task - whether that’s manning a ticket desk on a chilly December evening or standing in the sun helping with car parking. Catering isn’t always available, so you may be asked to bring your own. The time commitment will depend on your role at the event.
