Our raffles help raise vital funds to support children and families, and we're looking for a reliable, detail-focused volunteer to help us behind the scenes here at the hospice in Chorley.

Responsibilities

  • Opening and sorting returned raffle tickets and donations.
  • Carefully recording entries and supporter details.
  • Supporting simple admin and data entry tasks.
  • Keeping information safe, secure, and confidential.

About Derian House Children's Hospice

At Derian House we help children and young people, whose lives are too short, to make happy memories in an environment of fun, respect and above all, high quality care. We provide respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 children and young people across the North West. We do this 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We never close to those who need us. Our ethos is to make sure that every child and young person who comes to Derian is able to make the very most of the time they have.

Monday to Friday - flexible hours available.

Training

Full site induction & mandatory online training will be provided.

Important Information

The minimum age for volunteering in this role is 21 years. We ask all applicants to disclose, in confidence, any unspent criminal convictions in advance of a DBS check. All volunteers are required to wear a uniform, which will be provided free of charge.
