A great opportunity has arisen for a part‑time experienced Housekeeper to join our small team of hard‑working individuals who pride themselves on providing first‑class service. Derian House provides symptom management, palliative and end‑of‑life care, as well as short break respite care to babies, children, young people and their families with life‑limiting conditions across Lancashire, South Cumbria and Greater Manchester. Supported by our dedicated multi‑disciplinary teams we are able to provide a wide range of support and care in a variety of settings, including in‑house within our Hospice in Chorley and in the wider community.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and housekeeping throughout the Hospice, including bedrooms, bathrooms, family flats and office areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience of cleaning in line with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness and following Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines.
- A background in cleaning in a clinical environment such as a hospital, clinic or hospice is preferred.
Hours
- 15 hours (7.5 hours on Friday and Sunday), 8am to 4pm.
- Occasional cover will be required to cover sickness and holidays over 7 days a week.

Selection and Assessment Process
Depending on the volume of applications there may be an initial preliminary 20‑minute discussion, held virtually (MS Teams), to help sift candidates we wish to progress. The formal process for those invited will be an onsite face‑to‑face interview.
