Our vehicles play a vital role in supporting the work of Derian House, helping our teams care for babies, children, young people, and their families. We’re looking for a Fleet Maintenance Volunteer to help keep our cars, minibus and van safe, clean, and well‑maintained. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in looking after vehicles and enjoys practical, hands‑on tasks. Working independently, your support will help ensure our fleet is always ready for use.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carry out regular visual safety checks on cars, minibus & van
- Record and complete basic vehicle check logs
- Valet and clean vehicles, keeping them presentable and well cared for
- Report any issues or concerns to the Facilities Team
- Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety requirements

Time Commitment:
A regular commitment on Monday mornings. Flexibility to complete vehicle valeting on an additional morning or afternoon.
Training:
Full site induction and ongoing support provided. Please note: The minimum age of volunteering is 16yrs. We ask all applicants to disclose, in confidence, any unspent criminal convictions in advance of a DBS check. All volunteers are required to wear a uniform, which will be provided free of charge.
