About the Role:
This role sits at the centre of how Derek Rose shows up to customers. As Assistant Brand Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering our campaign communications across all owned channels, ensuring every message feels clear, considered and true to who we are. You’ll build communication plans and go-to-market strategies for campaigns and customer messaging, using trade priorities, SEO insights and performance data to define what we say, when we say it, and why it matters. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. You’ll work closely with merchandising, Ecommerce, and channel teams to bring campaigns to life. This is a newly created role joining a newly formed marketing team at Derek Rose. You’ll be joining at a pivotal point of growth, offering a significant opportunity to shape how the function operates — from processes and ways of working to how we plan and deliver campaigns. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working through change, happy to get stuck in, and motivated by building something new rather than stepping into something already set up.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Customer & Campaign Calendar: Own and lead the customer communications calendar across the year. Shape compelling customer messaging driven by SEO insights, priority launches, new product moments, strategic pillars and key business initiatives. Work closely with Merchandising to highlight the right products at the right time. Collaborate with channel teams to develop customer communications aligned to wider strategic goals. Lead the creation and delivery of the annual campaigns calendar, ensuring brand storytelling and trade priorities work together.
- Campaign Management & Delivery: Manage the end-to-end delivery of campaigns and customer messaging across all owned channels. Build and manage timelines, critical paths and cross-functional workflows. Track performance and lead post-campaign reporting, sharing insights to inform future activity. Maintain a consistent brand narrative and tone of voice across every touchpoint. Write and review campaign copy where needed. Develop wholesale toolkits that enable partners to amplify key messages clearly and consistently.
- Communications Planning: Develop customer communications across all owned channels, partnering with relevant team leads to ensure consistency and clarity. Translate brand and business objectives into customer plans, with clear KPIs, timelines and deliverables. Apply insight, learnings and best practice.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Merchandising, Ecommerce and Marketing to ensure campaigns are commercially aligned and launch smoothly. Support wider team initiatives and ad hoc projects as needed. Build strong working relationships across internal teams and external partners.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven experience developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns within retail or fashion, in a B2C environment.
- You are comfortable taking ownership and confident in doing so.
- Strong communication skills – clear and confident.
- Confidence leading cross-channel communication plans, alongside a willingness to be hands-on with day-to-day execution.
- A forensic eye for detail and quality.
- A track record of delivering measurable results.
- The ability to thrive in a new team with a changing environment, building strong relationships across teams and disciplines.
- Calm judgement, good organisation and a practical approach to getting things done.
What We Offer:
- Pension contribution
- 25 days annual leave, plus
