Overview
Derek Lewis Ltd require a Surfacing Plant Fitter based at our Doncaster yard.
The ideal candidate must have good mechanical knowledge of surfacing plant including asphalt pavers, ride on rollers and skid steers.
Mechanical experience of light commercial vehicles would also be an advantage.
You must be able to work competently alone and as part of a team, be punctual and be prepared to work additional hours when required.
Responsibilities
- Briefing of all ongoing and pre-planned works
- Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining plant machinery including servicing and inspecting of small tool and trailer repairs
- Upon completion to fill out workshop job sheets
- To assist current plant engineers with repairs
- Keeping working areas tidy
Qualifications & Requirements
- NOCN Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Construction Plant or Machinery Maintenance (Construction)
- Hold a valid driving licence.
- Plant experience (Essential).
Package
- Contracted hours per week are 40 Monday to Friday, overtime and weekends when required
- Company van and mobile phone (Business use only).
- Weekends and overtime available when required.
