DSFS has an exciting opportunity for the role of Procurement Partner. The role supports the Head of Procurement and is part of the Senior Leadership Team. Serving as a senior member, the Procurement Partner will co-ordinate and manage the buying team performance; providing leadership and supervision to enable the delivery of a "best in class" procurement service, along with developing a strong culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
The role requires significant experience of working within the public sector, preferably within the NHS, with demonstrable and practical working knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and regulations. The role also requires excellent organisational skills and confidence to work across diverse specialties and clinical and non-clinical categories. As well as engaging with and developing robust working relationships with key stakeholders, a key element of the role will be to network and collaborate with peers across Derbyshire and East Midlands, to benchmark costs and leverage opportunities, ensuring optimum value for money and continual improvement.
- Provide strategic and operational support to plan, coordinate and deliver across a number of medium-high value workplans.
- Maintain contract databases to produce high quality management data.
- Undertake competitive tender exercises, supporting Customers with the writing of Specifications and Business Cases, Drafting ITT documentation, undertaking evaluations, tender awards and facilitating effective contract management.
- Develop and implement innovative ways to procure goods and services to deliver efficiencies and cost savings, contributing to the departmental CIP target.
- Proactively undertake market engagement and market analysis to keep abreast of market shifts, trends, product development and innovation.
