The predicted salary is between 32625 - 39875 £ per year.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised individual to join our busy payroll and pensions team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to start a career in payroll while gaining hands-on experience and working towards a recognised payroll qualification. You will be part of a team within the Finance department that provides a payroll and pension service to Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Ltd. Both in-house and external training will be given for you to progress to take responsibility for your own payroll section.

Responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of the Payroll/Senior Payroll Officers, you will take responsibility for your own payroll section, prioritising and organising your workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Manage your own workload to help deliver an accurate and quality payroll service, including the input, checking and processing of payroll information.
  • Respond to pay queries from staff and managers.
  • Provide advice and support on pay-related matters to our customers, including staff members and managers across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with other internal departments and external agencies.
  • Take part in apprenticeship training and apply your learning to the workplace.
