Key Responsibilities

  • Provide procurement support across Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and other stakeholder organisations.
  • Assist the Procurement Team with day‑to‑day operations, including updating and maintaining procurement systems (Procurement Catalogues, Unit 4 (Agresso) integration, Contracts Database, Stock Management systems).
  • Liaise with the Procurement Team, customers and suppliers to resolve issues, ensuring an effective cost‑efficient service and first‑class customer service.
  • Ensure accuracy, meet tight deadlines and comply with policies and procedures to achieve key performance targets.
  • Raise awareness of the procurement department and provide advice and guidance to relevant departments.
  • Develop, prepare and report KPI data.
  • Engage in low‑value sourcing of products and services.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Planning and organising: prioritise own workload against competing demands and time pressures.
  • Logical, organised and efficient work approach.
  • Work under pressure within defined objectives and timetables.
  • Work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and judgement skills: manipulate data from multiple sources to inform decision making.
  • Move data between systems or produce data for inclusion into electronic systems.
  • Communication and relationships: produce timely, accurate written/electronic records and documents.
  • Liaise and interact with staff at all levels in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
  • Training and education: advise and coach other professionals on procurement systems.

Qualifications and Training

  • 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.

Experience

  • IT literate with demonstrable experience working with a number of IT systems.
  • Advanced Excel user – data sorts, lookups, comparators, pivot tables.
  • Unit 4 (Agresso) use or equivalent E‑Procurement System experience.
  • Stock management knowledge.
