DSFs are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Safety Co-ordinator on a 15-hour-a-week contract, who can provide expert advice to the Head of Health and Safety on fire safety and Health & Safety management and compliance.

Provide expert Fire & Health and Safety guidance to all “Trust / DSFS” working groups and committees as required.

Support the development and improvement of fire safety policies and procedures within the Trust/DSFS by proactively managing the implementation of changes across all departments, ensuring completion.

Record, analyze, and present monthly reports on fire safety and training data to meet internal service assurance requirements and satisfy external legislative and enforcement obligations.

Review and ensure that firefighting appliances, signage, and evacuation notifications meet current fire safety standards.

Establish and maintain contact with the local Fire Service to ensure adequate interaction, deployment roles, and responsibilities are understood and meet legislative requirements.

Develop procedures, programs, and complete fire risk assessments to the required standards and frequencies.
