Henmore Health is seeking a motivated Salaried GP who is either an approved Educational Supervisor, an experienced Clinical Supervisor or an experienced GP with the drive and commitment to become an Educational Supervisor within 18 months of joining us.
About Henmore Health
Henmore Health is the largest Primary Care Provider in the South Dales, delivering services across Ashbourne and Brailsford. We are a values-led organisation with a strong executive structure, clear governance, and a commitment to modern general practice, education, sustainability and quality.
Our area offers an outstanding quality of life with immediate access to national park landscapes, outdoor pursuits, excellent schools, and strong community identity, all within reach of Derby, Nottingham and Stoke.
The Role
We are seeking a Salaried GP to join Henmore Health, working across our two sites at Ashbourne Surgery and Brailsford Surgery, as part of a stable, forward-thinking partnership and a growing training practice. This role is suitable for a GP who wants to combine high-quality clinical care with a clear commitment to education, supervision and development of future GPs.
You will:
- Provide routine and on-the-day GP appointments across Ashbourne and Brailsford
- Manage long-term conditions, complex patients and continuity of care within a well-supported system
- Participate in clinical meetings, peer support and shared decision-making
- Work collaboratively with ANPs, nurses, pharmacists, ARRS colleagues and the wider practice team
- Contribute to service improvement, quality initiatives and practical clinical governance
- Support the development of education, supervision and training across the practice
Education & Training Commitment
We would welcome applications from GPs who are already approved Educational Supervisors. We are equally interested in strong Clinical Supervisors or experienced GPs who are ready to take the next step. We are looking for someone who genuinely wants to become an Educational Supervisor and is prepared to actively pursue that goal.
If you are not already an Educational Supervisor, you must be prepared to:
- Apply for and join the very next suitable Educational Supervisor training programme available after appointment
- Work actively towards approval as an Educational Supervisor within 18 months of joining Henmore Health
- Show clear evidence of commitment, momentum and follow-through in progressing this qualification
- Engage with mentoring, feedback and local training governance from the outset
We will support the right candidate to complete the programme, including practical support, supervision, protected development discussions and integration into our training infrastructure.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a GP who:
- Is GMC-registered and on the GP Performers List
- Is already an approved Educational Supervisor / GP Trainer, or is a credible Clinical Supervisor or experienced GP with a clear commitment to progressing to Educational Supervisor status
- Has genuine enthusiasm for teaching, supervision, feedback and developing others
- Demonstrates initiative, momentum and a clear commitment to complete the Educational Supervisor route promptly
- Values teamworking, good systems, governance and safe clinical practice
- Is pragmatic, patient-focused and professional
- Is comfortable working across two sites with consistent systems and processes
This is a salaried GP role rather than a partnership recruitment exercise. However, for the right GP, developing as an Educational Supervisor places them in a strong position to contribute meaningfully to the future of the practice.
Why Join Henmore
- A genuine opportunity to help shape a growing training practice
- Support to progress from Clinical Supervisor to Educational Supervisor within a clear timeframe
- Well-established practices with strong admin, operational and governance support
- Modern, structured systems that support safe care and realistic workload management
- A collaborative clinical team with opportunities for peer support and development
- Flexible sessions, ideally around 6 sessions, with discussion for the right candidate
- Outstanding lifestyle opportunity at the gateway to the Peak District
