Organisation: Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service Location: Based in Ripley, with some national travel Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) serves a population of over 1 million people, living and working within a thousand square miles of some of the most attractive landscapes, including parts of the Peak District National Park. The area is diverse, encompassing both rural and city environments, including rivers, farms, manufacturing sites, and an extensive road and rail network, all placing varied demands on our firefighters. Following the impending retirement of our current Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive (CFO/CE), we are seeking an exceptional leader to guide our Service as we strive for continuous improvement, ensuring we are well trained and equipped. We acknowledge the challenges ahead, as these are difficult times for fire and rescue services nationally, particularly regarding culture.
