Repairs and Voids Administrator
Closing date: 19 October 2025
South Derbyshire District Council is investing in its Housing Service to provide affordable homes and services for our tenants. The Council would like to hear from proactive, enthusiastic and determined people who can help to develop and improve services that respond to the changing needs of customers and the new regulatory framework.
The successful candidate will provide support to the Voids Supervisor in delivery of the Council’s voids programme. You will provide administrative support to enable a commercially efficient, safe, quality-focused voids service, delivering homes to set standards. Be responsible for the continued provision of utilities to a property during the void period through meter and supplier management. Coordinate with contractors to schedule works, chase progress, and resolve any issues to ensure smooth and timely project completion.
You will also work with the Repairs Scheduling and Administration team in the planning and resourcing of the day-to-day repairs service. Serve as a primary contact for residents, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding repairs and void properties, handling enquiries via telephone, email, and in person. Raise, track, and manage works orders from start to finish, ensuring all tasks are accurately recorded and completed within agreed timescales.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in an administrative role, preferably within a social housing, property management, or maintenance environment. You will also be able to demonstrate strong organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Effective relationship building, resource planning and management of contractors is essential to ensure consistent delivery and high levels of resident satisfaction.
We are looking for applicants committed to equal opportunities, diversity, and good customer care to ensure our tenants receive an excellent service.
