We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to support our dedicated kitchen team at Hayfield Primary School. Responsibilities may include working at a production or servery unit, food preparation, cooking, portion control, allergen compliance, and preparing the dining area for service.

Our Catering Assistants serve as the point of contact with our customers. All team members help ensure food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed. We aim to create positive lunchtime experiences, so an appropriate attitude for the school environment is essential.

Successful candidates will be required to complete the NVQ food hygiene certificate upon appointment.

Due to access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will need to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. A criminal record does not necessarily disqualify applicants, as each case is considered individually. See our policy on criminal background checks.
